Journalism

Jessica takes great pride in the journalism experience she gained in television affiliate newsrooms across the country, which in order, included KDVR, KOB, KRON, KCNC, KUSA, KOAA, KDVR/KWGN, and KHQ, where she served in the capacity as everything from a Reporter in the field, to a Line producer in the control room; to an Executive Producer overseeing the content and staff of an entire daypart, to the News Director in charge of the entire Department. Her experience also includes time as a Field and Booking Producer for NBC News at the network level. She also worked as a the Multi-Media Manager at The Denver Post, and as a Reporter/Photographer for the Villager Newspaper in Colorado.

Law

An element of the law is a part of every single thing we do throughout every day. Throughout her career, the law has been a part of how Jessica navigated the management of people, programs, systems and contracts. In her mid-40s, Ms. Roe chose to increase her understanding of the law, and obtained a Masters of Law/Legal Studies from the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law. In her professional capacity, Jessica applies her legal knowledge and expertise to the areas of First Amendment and Media Law, as well as Employment Law. At the University of Denver, Ms. Roe teaches Media Law, Social Media and Regulatory Law, and Advanced News Reporting and Writing.
